We get lot of requests from customers asking about the right color of Plastics for their Les Pauls...the answer is not easy because your own taste is important! There are only some companies out building M69 Replica Rings, hereby you need to know that the cost for a mold to build those rings cost between 15-20K USD. Then you need to find a supplier offering you CAB (cab cellulose acetate butyrate) . After you find it you need to decide which color you like to have for your rings! The org. Rings was most lighter in color (Porcelain White or Vintage Bone) but you need to know that the material gas out over the years and changing the color to more yellowish or creamy tint...also depends on where the guitars played they changed color like the Guitars in case of cigarette smoke, environmental influencesor similar...so you will not find the ONE correct color since most rings of Burst are different in color today!
The M69 Rings was often ligher in color compare the the Pickguard (The Jackplates have same color in case of the same Material) which most was more yellow! The Pokerchip also was sligthly different in color too! PAF Pickups have nearly the same color like the rings but can be lighter in color when covers was removed and Bobbins changed color in case of environmental influences...

Also its hard to find matching parts often requested by player in same color since most parts came from different suppliers!!! In Fact different supplier different color! Its possible to match color of different parts but this is only possible with a +/- 10% tolerance and you need to order large Qtys to get parts matched...meany min. order each item often is 500-1000 each which cost a lot lot of money!
